In 2009 I made a series of pastel paintings. I was inspired to reproduce with pastels one of my old photographs. The original photo was shot in Stockholm in the 1980’s. Here is my interpretation of that photo as a pastel painting. You can see the original photo in the gallery Street Photography 1987-89.

A new series of guitar improvisations in 20 parts is released.
For Lonesam People is a collection of electric guitar improvisations for healing loneliness. The tracks were played in loneliness without interacting with anyone. There was no audience, no other players. However, now the tracks are online and interaction is possible.
All tracks are instant improvisations and they were recorded in the summer 2023.
Something interesting happened, when I played For Lonesam People -improvisations. I played a lot of minor second intervals on many tracks. In a minor second interval two notes of the chromatic scale are closest to each other. In any other interval two notes are further away from each other. That’s why a minor second interval is a metaphor for closeness. It symbolizes a need to get in touch, to have interaction and to heal loneliness. Playing minor second intervals was a thematic expression of a need to heal loneliness. However, when I played these improvisations in the summer 2023, I didn’t yet know that I played them for healing loneliness. I realized the purpose later. That’s why the deep meaning of playing minor second intervals was totally subconscious. I played them just because I was feeling, that they sound good!
